Lugrum peered into his cauldron as it roiled. The seeds changed colors and shape and size as they seethed with the life that Lugrum had infused in them. The Goblinberry seeds stayed small and hard, the Orkulbloom seeds grew and bulged, and the Ogreenal seeds burst at the seams.
Lugrum then poured in the cauldron his own lifeblood, hair, and pulled a tooth from his jaw with his bare hands. Such was the love he felt for his new children. In they went, imbibing the seeds in the cauldron with Lugrums true virtues; hunger, jealousy, avarice, hate, rage, cunning and fear. And the seeds again infused the virtues bestowed upon them.
Lugrum was ready to spread his seed over all his jungles and all his islands so that his chosen children shall spread far and wide and that he shall be revered everywhere. He grabbed the seeds from the boiling cauldron in great handfuls to cast them down upon the jungles and islands as far as he could see. But Purl had found he and Klug’s thievery.
Purl cast a spell on Lugrum’s hand to stop him from sowing his seeds. Lugrum stared in horror as his hand turned to stone and was immoveable. Lugrum’s rage was unfettered, he spat and hooted and cursed the Human All-Father. Lugrum would not be denied by the treacherous human god.
And now it was Purl’s chance to watch in horror as Lugrum grabbed his maul, laying against his throne, and with a maniacal cackle, shattered his own hand so that the precious seeds of his children could be cast down to the world below.
Because Lugrum could not throw his seeds across the world, they floated gently down toward a hungry and lonely ocean. But Lugrum simply smiled as the pieces of his stone hand rushed down and plummeted into the awaiting sea before them, filling the ocean with the scattered fragments of his shattered hand. When the seeds finally floated down, most were swallowed up by the sea, but the rest burrowed deep into the newly formed islands to become the birth place of the Goblinoid Races – The Scatter.

Gazetteer #1: The Scatter
Gazetteer #1: The Scatter
Logrum - the mischeivous green lord of the jungle, was forever jealous of the gifts that Purl, Chief of the human gods, had given his children. Love, Joy, Intelligence, Resolve, Strength and Passion among them. He tutored them, helped them, showed them fire for warmth, showed them shelter for storms, taught them to craft the wondrous things in their minds with their hands.
And so they flourished. And Purl was All-Father to the Humans, and was loved and revered, and worshipped.
And Logrum sat on the throne he had made from rocks and palm leaves, and moss and sand, and sticks and logs, and seethed with jealousy. For the humans didn't thank him for the abundant wood and food and water that came from his jungles. They feared it. they cut it and burned it and took what they wanted.
And so Logrum decided that he wanted his own people, to teach them, to love him, as the Humans loved and revered Purl. And they would protect the jungles and not let the humans take and not thank Logrum for his bounty.
Lugrum called his brother Klug to the throne. He would have Klug steal from Purls workshop the virtues he had bestowed on the humans. as Klug proceeded to sneak in to Purls workshop, Lugrum filled a basket with seeds from his favorite creations: Goblinberry shrubs, Orkulbloom vine, and the Ogreenal tree. These he planned to breathe life in to. These he planned to be his children.
When Klug returned, he had 9 virtues with him, and Lugrum, excited that his brother had taken more virtues than even Purl had given the Humans, poured all of the seeds and the virues into his cauldron to steep...
